Most of what we publish started with somebody deciding that a thing they knew about ought to be written down somewhere permanent.
You do not need proof and you do not need the whole story. A department name and a rough date is often enough for us to file a records request and let the paperwork do the rest. If you want your name kept out of it, say so and it stays out.
Good for general tips, corrections, story ideas, or asking whether something is worth our time. You can use a throwaway address and we will never ask you to confirm who you are.
Our regular line handles anonymous senders fine, but some people would rather not route a sensitive tip through Google, and that is a reasonable place to land. Proton is end to end encrypted and takes no personal information to sign up for.
Paper records, printed emails, or a letter. Nothing beats mail if you want zero connection between you and us, and a stamp is cheaper than a lawyer.

Every message gets read by a person, usually the same day. Nothing gets filtered, auto-sorted, or handed to an intern, because there is no intern.
If it can be confirmed through public records, we file for the records. We do not publish anything we cannot put a document behind, which is slower but survives contact with a lawyer.
If you leave us a way to reply, you find out what came of it either way. Some tips become stories, some become records requests, and some go nowhere, but you will not be left wondering.
Both options exist because PayPal has a habit of freezing accounts first and reviewing the appeal two months later, so pick whichever platform you trust more. There are no ads on this site, no data sales, and no sponsorships, which means reader money is the only thing keeping the records requests filed.
